MAKASSAR – One of Jusuf Kalla’s business ventures, Kalla Beton, has been entrusted as the main material supplier for the Road Package 1B1C project in the Core Area of the Government Center (KIPP) of Indonesia’s new capital city, Nusantara.
This project is part of the government’s strategic initiative to accelerate infrastructure development in the new capital and marks the first construction project directly managed by the IKN Authority.
Previously, all development in IKN was under the Ministry of Public Works and Housing (PUPR). The road upgrade project is targeted for completion by December 2025.
Package 1B1C covers 9 road sections with a total length of 12.2 kilometers and a budget value of IDR 3.04 trillion. These roads are designed to connect various strategic zones within KIPP, while enhancing connectivity and mobility for both the public and government in the new capital.
Syatir, Sales and Marketing Manager of Kalla Beton, revealed that Kalla Beton was trusted to supply concrete for the project through collaboration with the project consortium ABIPRAYA–PDK–INTIKARMA, KSO. He also expressed appreciation for the trust given.
“The trust from PT Brantas Abipraya to involve us in the development of IKN is both an honor and a great responsibility. We are committed to providing the highest quality concrete, delivered on time, and in accordance with the technical specifications set,” said Syatir on Tuesday (July 22, 2025).
Furthermore, he added that as an experienced construction material provider, Kalla Beton is ready to support the development of IKN as a symbol of a new civilization that is modern, inclusive, and sustainable.(*)
