Kalla Beton Announces Expansion to the New Capital City (IKN)

MAKASSAR – Kalla Beton Expands Business Operations to Indonesia’s New Capital (IKN)

Kalla Beton continues to expand its business across various regions. In addition to its strong presence in Sulawesi, the manufacturing company under the Kalla Group has now established operations in the Nusantara Capital City (IKN). Its products—ranging from ready mix concrete, precast, lightweight bricks, to instant mortar—are now being marketed in the new capital area.

Syatir, Sales & Marketing Manager of Kalla Beton, stated that operations in IKN began in the first half of 2024.

The company currently operates a batching plant with a production capacity of 50 cubic meters per hour, located on Jl. Ahmad Yani, Pemaluan Village, Sepaku District, Penajam Paser Utara Regency.

So far, Kalla Beton has contributed to several development projects in IKN, including road construction, government apartment complexes (Rusun ASN), various public buildings, and the airport terminal.

"Right now, development in IKN is progressing rapidly with a target to complete several major projects by August. As a result, demand is very high. We've already built a batching plant for ready mix concrete in IKN and are supplying lightweight bricks and instant mortar. We're also fulfilling requests for precast components," explained Syatir in a written statement on Monday (July 15, 2024).

He added that Kalla Beton will continue to expand its reach to other regions.

Previously, Kalla Beton launched its lightweight bricks and instant mortar products in Palu, Central Sulawesi in June 2024.

As of now, its operational areas include Makassar, Gowa, Kendari, Kolaka, Gorontalo, Palu, Morowali, Bekasi, and IKN.

"To meet customer needs, we are committed to ongoing expansion, particularly in Sulawesi. Sales have shown consistent year-on-year growth. For that reason, we are always ready to increase our production capacity," Syatir stated.

Kalla Beton’s Key Strengths

Kalla Beton currently achieves an average ready mix production capacity of 60 cubic meters per hour across all its areas. Meanwhile, its lightweight brick factory located on Jl. KIMA 17, Makassar, produces up to 8,500 cubic meters per month, and its instant mortar production reaches 30,000 bags per month.

The company’s products are known for their high quality, precise volume accuracy, and excellent service.

Kalla Beton also provides after-sales support, ensuring that customers use the products according to standards and experience no operational issues. (*)
