Kalla Beton Strengthens Non-Ready Mix Market at 29th Anniversary

MAKASSAR – Kalla Beton, a leading construction material provider in South Sulawesi, celebrated its remarkable 29-year journey on January 23, 2025.

To commemorate this milestone, the company organized a series of engaging activities, including a mini tournament between plants held at the Kalla Beton Factory on Jalan KIMA XVII No. 17, on Thursday (January 30, 2025).

The event aimed to strengthen team spirit and foster healthy competition among employees. Hundreds of employees enthusiastically participated in the celebration, which was attended by Kalla Beton’s Chief Operating Officer (COO), Ali Syamsu Wairooy.

At 29 years old, Kalla Beton continues to solidify its position as a major player in the construction materials industry, focusing on two key areas. First, meeting the needs of various development projects while expanding the market for non-ready mix products.

"This year’s market expansion is centered on opening selling points for non-ready mix products, particularly lightweight concrete blocks and mortar, in several cities such as Morowali, Kendari, Palu, and all regencies and municipalities across South Sulawesi," said Ali.

Second, Kalla Beton remains focused on serving strategic projects in both the national and private sectors, particularly in the Greater Jakarta area (Jabodetabek) and South Sumatra.

Kalla Beton has also broadened its reach significantly. In 2024, the company expanded to East Kalimantan to support the development of Indonesia’s new capital city (IKN). Despite this wider expansion focus, the company remains committed to being the leading construction material supplier in South Sulawesi.

To further strengthen its position in the local market, Kalla Beton plans to increase the production capacity of its lightweight block factory this year. Additionally, the company is preparing to launch new products in the instant mortar category, expected to meet growing consumer demand.

"By opening regional selling areas, Kalla Beton will reach more customers in various districts and cities throughout South Sulawesi and other provinces, such as Central Sulawesi, West Sulawesi, and Southeast Sulawesi," Ali added.
