MAKASSAR – Growing Demand for Lightweight Bricks, Kalla Beton Focuses on Product Quality Improvement
The demand for Kalla Beton’s lightweight bricks continues to rise, prompting the company to maintain and enhance both product quality and service.
Kalla Beton Manager, Muhammad Shobir, stated that the growing interest in lightweight bricks is seen across various regions, driven by construction needs for residential housing as well as office buildings.
“Lightweight bricks are considered more efficient and cost-effective,” he said on Monday (April 29, 2024).
The growth of lightweight bricks is also reflected in the increasing number of producers, particularly in Makassar. Many of them are expanding their production capacities, and even manufacturers from Java have entered the local market, intensifying competition in the region.
Kalla Beton operates a lightweight brick factory located in the Makassar Industrial Area (KIMA) with a daily production capacity of 360 cubic meters. The company serves demand not only throughout Sulawesi but also extends its distribution to regions outside the island.
Kalla Beton is committed to delivering the best products and services, while offering competitive pricing. The price of Kalla Beton’s lightweight bricks ranges from IDR 800,000 to IDR 950,000. The company produces Aerated Autoclaved Concrete (AAC) bricks available in various sizes: 60x20x7.5 cm, 10 cm, 12.5 cm, 15 cm, and 20 cm, tailored to meet customer needs.
