Kalla Beton Showcases Flagship Products at KTKKI Sulawesi

MAKASSAR –  Kalla Beton participated in a construction exhibition held at the Construction Services Development Center for Region VI Makassar, Ministry of Public Works and Housing (PUPR), on October 30–31, 2024. At this event, Kalla Beton highlighted a range of its flagship products, including lightweight bricks and instant mortar.

Sales & Marketing Manager of Kalla Beton, Syatir, explained that the exhibition was part of the Indonesian Construction Workforce Competition for the Sulawesi region. In addition to Kalla Beton, other Kalla Construction business ecosystem companies such as Bumi Karsa and Kalla Aspal also took part in the event.

“We took this opportunity to reintroduce Kalla Beton’s products on a broader scale, especially in the Sulawesi region. Kalla Beton was also given a special session for a product knowledge presentation. Through events like this, we hope to further raise awareness and drive greater usage of Kalla Beton products throughout Sulawesi and Eastern Indonesia,” said Syatir.

In its presentation session, Kalla Beton focused on promoting its lightweight bricks and instant mortar. The company continues to innovate and expand its product line to meet evolving customer needs—one of the latest being its new instant mortar product: tile adhesive. The tile adhesive, under the product code KB-818, is part of a broader instant mortar portfolio that also includes lightweight brick adhesive (KB-858), plaster (KB-878), wall skim coat (KB-868), and finishing skim coat (KB-888).

“Instant mortar is a construction innovation made from a cement-based mixture combined with other materials such as silica sand, additives, and binders. With this product, customers no longer need to purchase and mix cement and sand manually, which makes it easy to use even without professional labor,” Syatir added.

Kalla Beton’s lightweight bricks are of the Autoclaved Aerated Concrete (AAC) type and come in various sizes—60x20x7.5 cm, 10 cm, 12.5 cm, 15 cm, and 20 cm—allowing flexibility to suit different customer requirements. These AAC blocks offer numerous benefits, including lighter weight, fire resistance, low water absorption, high compressive strength, excellent sound insulation, precise dimensions, and improved earthquake resistance.

Besides lightweight bricks, Kalla Beton also accepts orders for ready mix concrete and a variety of precast products. Standard precast offerings include U-ditch, box culvert, fence panels, minipiles, pressed cansteen, manholes, paving blocks, and concrete blocks. Furthermore, Kalla Beton is capable of producing custom-made products based on specific customer needs and technical specifications.(*)
